Ad-hoc grants - Description

Print PDF

Ad-hoc or small grants are among the instruments of the Civil Society Support Programme, CIVICA Mobilitas, intended for organisations or coalitions whose activities are within the Programme’s thematic focus.

The ad-hoc grants, each in a fixed amount of 10.000 Swiss francs maximum, may be allocated to organisations that have already applied for Institutional or Project grants and are selected upon the recommendation of the CIVICA Mobilitas Programme Board.

The organisations recommended for ad-hoc grants shall prepare a project proposal in a previously produced template. The CIVICA Mobilitas team further evaluates the project proposal based on the same methodology and approach used for the project grants. The findings of the evaluation are further reviewed by a Sub-Committee of the Board called Small Grants Sub-Committee which is competent to lead the decision-making process for allocation of small grants.

In addition, as stated in the CIVICA Mobilitas Programme policies and procedures, the decisions related to allocated grant need to be made by the CIVICA Mobilitas Programme Board where the CIVICA Mobilitas team presents evaluation of the project applications.

The decisions that will be reached by the Small Grants Sub-committee will then be delivered to the Programme Board for ratification.

If necessary, the Programme Board may hold additional meeting with regards to the ad-hoc grants.

The activities of the organisations that have been allocated ad-hoc grant may not exceed the period of 6 months.
