Enabling organizations and communities in achiving sustainable change
Representatives from over 40 CSOs, institutions and organizations from Macedonia participated on the conference entitled “Networking of Local Fundraising Organizati on s - the Need, Chall enges and Opportunities”. This conference, organized by the Center for Institutional Development-CIRa, took place on December 20, 2011 (Tuesday) in the Hotel Aleksandar Palace in Skopje.
The aim of this one-day conference was to share the best practices related to local fundraising of the civic organizations and foundations in Republic of Macedonia as well as to discuss current conditi ons, problems and challenges associated with their implementation of such activities. During the conference the participants also had the o pportunity to discuss the usefulness, opportunities and ways to strengthen collaboration and to build effective network between the CSOs and foundations that perform local fundraising activities.
The Conference was part of the activities of the project “Strengthening capacities of CSOs and creating supporting infrastructure to mobilize local resources and undertake economic activities” implemented by the Center for Institutional Development - CIRa and funded by the European Union through the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance - IPA 2008.
